Pains of Youth

As preformed by SNG Drama on 22nd of May 2006.

Having barely recovered from Edward, Pains of Youth is another grave yet rewarding play. Psychological abuse featured is so prominent it left many a member of the audience in dismay. No small task considering most are theatre regulars who know fully well what they are letting themselves into.

Naturalistic pieces tend to be much more demanding on the actors divesting phatos from their repertoire of means of conveying feelings, however this was not a problem for Pains of Youth cast. Excellent, each one of them, something seldom seen in Drama. Variety of new faces (as guests) probably added to the experience as well.

Simply superb!
